Weddings are a time to kick up your heels and have some fun. Good food, good music and good people will make it a memorable occasion but why not have a few tricks up your sleeve to make the night just that extra little bit special. Check out some of these cute wedding games to keep your guests amused the whole night through.
Colouring in books
Colouring in is the latest craze. Why not turn one of your photos into a colouring in page and leave it out on the tables for the guests to colour. Just don’t forget the pencils! There are plenty of websites that can convert your photos – try https://www.reallycolor.com/
Keep your guests amused while you have your photos taken by playing outdoor games like quoits, ring toss, bocce, croquet, badminton or giant jenga
Create fill in the blank story cards
Create your own story for guests to complete. The ‘Lilly and Jonno’ story can be great fun as guests fill in, even if they don’t know all the answers. Get a friend to collect them all at the end of the evening and read them later. You can download templates or create your own
Conversation starter packs
Create conversation starter packs and leave them out when drinks are served. This can be a great way to get your friends talking and mingling
Wedding I spy
Ask guests to use their cameras to snap pics of a list of wedding day moments like a funny face, a kiss, a sparkling drink, a person laughing, favourite wedding decoration. Don’t forget to ask them to send you the photos!
Wedding day bingo
Encourage your guests to mingle by creating a bingo board for them to complete at the reception. In this game they don’t mark off numbers but instead record names of people who match the description on the board. Descriptions can include things like ‘trumpet player’, ‘born in the month of April’, ‘have a tattoo’, ‘wearing a red dress’ etc. Don’t forget to include a pencil for them to use to complete the bingo board. Have fun
Include a wedding play list request form in your invitation and you are sure to have a great selection of songs that will get everyone up and singing. Hire a karaoke machine and a few microphones and your night is sure to be a hit.
