It doesn’t matter if you’re single, engaged, or married. It doesn’t matter if you’re a total romantic or a self-confessed stone heart. These videos will make you mushy.
In June this year, Australian man Liam Cooper proposed to his girlfriend with an elaborate video clip and plan that raised the bar for men all over the world.
Filmed to the tune of ‘Rude’ by Magic, Liam created a video in which he asked girlfriend Amy’s father for her hand in marriage (as the song goes), and got a no. The video continues as he keeps asking, with the final scene arriving at the cinema where he and Amy are watching the clip together as a preview to a movie. Adorable!
Dean Smith spent more than a year planning his proposal. On her birthday in January 2014, he decided to propose. Then he spent the next 365 days working towards a very special birthday surprise in 2015. Every day, he wrote a sign with a date, asking her to marry him, telling her he wants to spend his life with her, telling her how much he loves her.
He filmed himself holding these signs in the car, on a plane, while brushing his teeth, while hanging out with their dog – everything. Every, single, day. On day 365, her 2015 birthday, he presented her with a video of his efforts. At the end of the video, he asks her to turn around, where he waits with his final sign.
We have no doubt that Jay and fiancé Mary Beth will have a bright future ahead of them with this proposal. Jay’s plan came to pass on Mary Beth’s 25th birthday. She thought she was to spend the day with her two best friends, but they were in on it, too.
First, they Mary Beth and friends visit the restaurant where she and Jay had their first date. The next clue from Jay comes, which leads her to go shopping for a gorgeous new dress. After that, it’s spa time with the girls for hair, make up, and nails. The hunt continues as Jay’s clues lead her to important places around the city, until finally, she meets him at the place where they met…
Featuring Melbourne’s wild weather, Melbourne’s beautiful weather, signs like the ones you see in Love Actually, a person in a Pikachu costume, and enough roses to fill several flower shops, this YouTube proposal is as sweet as it is simple.
This video is special in that it uses no voiceover or words to explain, it speaks for itself – all you see is their love and a beautiful proposal!
With almost 5 million views over the past year, this Christmas proposal is one that will no doubt have you pulling out the tissue box.
Tyne Owen got the whole family in on the surprise, getting them to line up with t-shirts spelling out ‘Marry me’ in a Christmas family photo. The trick is, of course, that his then girlfriend Jamie was sitting in the front row and had no idea what was going on behind her.
After the photo was taken, Tyne asked Jamie to check how the photo turned out, which is when she finally got the chance to see what was happening in the photo! We dare you not to cry.
