A wedding is a time to get together with as many loved ones as possible, and there’s no doubt that amongst your guests are countless jewels of wisdom that you could learn from as you begin your new life with your spouse.
Check out our three fun ideas for ways that they can share their advice with you!
Set up a photo booth at the venue with a medium-sized chalkboard and a couple of boxes of chalk. While your guests can use this area for your usual photos, they can also pick up the chalkboard, write their piece of advice or wisdom on it, and pose for a photo with the board.
This way, you get a great pic of your guests along with sage advice!
For every guest at your wedding, you will need some sort of seating card that will show them where they’re sitting during the meal. Why not double their use and include a space for advice on this card? Leave some pens on the tables and let everyone know what the cards are for – even the young ones will love filling these out and you’ll get dozens of great tips, each with the name of the guest!
Pro tip: Print these cards as 6x4 inches so that they fit inside a standard photo album pocket!
This could be a great job for a younger member of the guest list – basically you just need someone who’s got great people skills and can work a camera.Ask around to see if anyone would be willing to take a camera around the venue during the party and take videos of people sharing their advice. After the event, you can edit the footage together to make one big reel that you can watch. It’s a great way to capture the atmosphere, noise and laughter of the evening in a way that you can keep coming back to for years to come.
