Mother's Day may be just around the corner, but there’s no reason why you can’t make your mum feel special every day of the year.
During your wedding, it’s even more important that ever. This is the day that your mum is ‘giving away’ her baby to another person, so she needs to know that you will always remember how much she did for you, and that she will always be an important part of your life.
Here are a few ways to make sure she never forgets it!
Include her in your speech
Most grooms will speak at their weddings, and it’s vital that you make special mention of your mum during this time. As a rule of thumb, simply say what you’re feeling from the heart, to make it honest and perfectly sentimental.
It’s also a good idea to mention your partner’s mother, too!
Ensure you get professional photos taken with her
If you’ve ever been part of a wedding party, you’ll know just how tough it can be to get this part organised. Be sure to ask for at least a couple of photos with just you and your mum on top of the ones with both sets of parents and close family members. Snapping this all-important photo will show your mum that she’s important enough for a photo all to herself.
If your mother hadn’t raised you the way she had, it’s unlikely that you’d be standing at the alter marrying the love of your life. If that effort doesn’t deserve a gift of thanks, we don’t know what does!
A lasting item such as a stunning necklace or set of earrings will forever be a reminder of your big day, and of just how special you made her feel.
